USB active cables allow users to extend the connection distance between two USB devices. These cables feature integrated active electronics to boost the signal for high speed data transfer.
The Lindy USB 3.2 Gen 2 Active Cable uses built-in active electronics to extend the cable length of a USB 3.2 device by an additional 3m whilst continuing to support fast and efficient data transfer rates of up to 10Gbps as well as Displayport 1.4 Alternate Mode. When sending DP 1.4 signals, only USB 2.0 up to 480Mbps can be supported. USB 3.2 Gen 2 with data rates up to 10Gbps can be achieved when sending DP 1.2 signals with resolutions up to 4K 60Hz. The cable also supports Power Delivery up to 60W (20V / 3A). Pass-through Charging
This docking station comes with a 24W PSU (Power Supply Unit). This is to ensure that there is enough power for the docking station to function without needing to take any power from your device’s connected charger. Thanks to the integrated PD 3.0 port, you can plug your device’s charger into the docking station and experience up to 100W pass-through charging (depending on the charger’s capabilities). This allows you to charge your device whilst working, without having to use up any more ports, meaning there is more connectivity potential for other peripherals and accessories.

This active cable overcomes distance and performance restrictions of standard USB cables with limited lengths. With a reversible Type C input connector and Type A female port, this extension cable allows Type A devices such as pen drives, cameras or smartphones to be connected at longer distances with no compromise on data transfer speeds, ideal for when the Type C device is hard to repeatedly access or when connecting USB devices that are required at a distance such as boardroom webcams.

The Lindy USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type C M.2 NVMe & SATA SSD/HDD Docking & Clone Station features both high speed Docking as well as Clone functions. This 20m extension cable can be used standalone or as part of the Lindy USB 3.0 Active Extension System Pro. This system is a modular solution that can combine multiple USB Active Extension Pro cables and a USB 3.0 Active Extension Pro hub to distribute USB signals to up to 4 devices at up to about 40m (depending on the cable configurations used).
Please note that only the USB 3.0 Active Extension Pro 8m (Nr. 43158) or 15m (Nr. 43229) can be connected directly to your computer. If you are creating an extension using multiple units from the Extension Pro System then the first unit must always be the USB 3.0 Active Extension Pro 8m (Nr. 43158) or 15m (Nr. 43229). Once the first cable has been connected, you can then cascade further cables to achieve a maximum distance of 40m.
