The Lindy 150m Bi-Directional IR signal extender is a high quality, reliable solution for transmitting infrared signals from IR remote controls up to 150m in open spaces. This allows the control of AV equipment in home, office, and retail spaces from convenient locations, through walls and ceilings, with no need for costly cable infrastructure.
Each transceiver's low power requirement through the USB interface and small form factor ensures simple and discreet professional installations.
The transceiver features a rotary dial used to select a vacant radio frequency channel to avoid interference from other IR devices, or create multiple configurations in the same space. This feature also allows one to one, one to many and many to many bi-directional systems to be set up with ease.
Compatibility with Alexa, Google Home & Logitech Harmony allows for integration with other home automation products, meaning users can use speech to send instructions to compatible AV devices and create a complete smart-home experience.
Please Note: one unit is included.
Actual distances will vary depending on the construction of the building and any walls or floors that stand between the transceiver units.
IP extenders provide reliable extension of HDMI® signals on a network connection, allowing for point to point and mixed configurations when combined with network equipment such as switches. Utilising IP connectivity ensures a low cost, scalable extension solution that can be easily setup for a variety of small or larger scale scenarios.
The Lindy HDMI® & IR over IP extender is a complete, low cost solution for extending HDMI® signals across long distances via a local network setup. As a point to point connection, the extender supports distances up to 150m using Cat.6 cable, or when combined with a network switch can be expanded for much larger distribution systems with up to 3 layers of network equipment. Adding additional receivers (38399) provides additional flexibility to the setup to distribute content into various locations or displays at distance, great for use in retail, connected office installations or educational setups.
Supporting resolutions up to Full HD 1920x1080@60Hz 4:4:4 8bit, this extender provides high quality content, good for eye catching digital signage, residential installations or AV distribution in hospitality. HDMI® loop out port on the transmitter allows the user to connect a local display while IR extension also provide simple control via an included IR emitter and receiver cable using an IR remote.
Please Note: Use a dedicated network specially for larger installations. The HDMI® over IP Extender distributes in full 1080p resolution using H.265 video compression.

AV extenders transmit video, audio and control signals over distances that a standard cable cannot cover. A transmitter at the source sends the signal via network cable, fibre optic cable or the IP network to a receiver at the display. This keeps computers, media players and conferencing systems centralised in the equipment room, while video and audio arrive exactly where they are needed: in the meeting room, the lecture theatre, the control room or at the digital signage display.
Connect transmitter and receiver point-to-point via a network cable. The range depends on the resolution: in 4K, up to 70m is typically possible, in Full HD even more.
Cat.6 AV Extenders
Bridge 300m and more, are immune to electromagnetic interference and are ideal for industrial environments, medical technology and large buildings.
Fibre Optic Extenders
Use the network with a switch. One source can be distributed to multiple receivers and the system can be expanded flexibly.
AV over IP Extenders
For video signals, there are HDMI extenders and DisplayPort extenders.
Is your computer missing a suitable video output? USB converters add HDMI or DisplayPort.
USB Converters HDMI & DP Extenders
Additionally transmit USB for keyboard and mouse alongside the video signal.
If you only need to connect USB devices over longer distances, USB extenders are the right solution. USB Extenders KVM Extenders
Transmit analogue stereo audio over Cat6 up to 500m, e.g. for PA systems.
Audio Extenders
Distribute one signal simultaneously to several remote displays.
Splitter Extenders
In addition to classic extender sets with separate transmitter and receiver, there are form factors for specific installation scenarios:
For wall mounting in flush-mounted boxes.
Wall Plate Extenders
Compact extenders that plug directly into the device.
Dongle Extenders
Check the range at your target resolution, not just the maximum range. Also important:
A standard that transmits uncompressed video, audio, control signals and, depending on the version, USB and Ethernet over a single network cable.
Active cables and active optical cables (AOC) are suited to fixed device-to-device runs. If you want to use existing network cabling, transmit a control signal as well or distribute the picture, an extender is the better choice.
