Lindy Port Blocker Range
An unattended USB or LAN port is all it takes for data leakage, unauthorised devices or malware via BadUSB — and even the best policy cannot protect a free port. The Lindy Port Blocker Range mechanically locks USB-A, USB-C, RJ45 and other interfaces; a blocker can only be removed with the matching key. Which blocker fits which interface — see the overview below.
Data leakage, malicious code, missing evidence in the audit — three problems that unsecured USB ports cause in companies time and again.
An unattended USB port is all it takes to copy confidential documents onto a private stick unnoticed. Without a physical lock, this goes undetected – until the damage has long been done.
BadUSB devices pose as a keyboard and smuggle in malicious code within seconds. Conventional antivirus software often doesn't even raise an alarm.
GDPR, NIS2 and ISO 27001 require documented measures against unauthorised data access. Without physical port security, there is no solid evidence.
Each starter kit contains 4 blockers and 1 matching key. Add-on sets without a key and individual replacement keys are available separately for each port type. For types with several colour variants, locks and keys of the same colour are keyed alike – different colours cannot be opened with the same key. This lets you, for example, separate different teams or areas by colour.
| Port type | Colour variants | Typical use |
|---|---|---|
| USB A | 5 colours, keyed alike per colour | Protects PC and notebook ports against unauthorised data transfer |
| USB C | 5 colours, keyed alike per colour | Protects modern notebooks and docking stations |
| RJ45 | 4 colours, keyed alike per colour | Secures unused network sockets in offices and public areas |
| SFP | 1 colour | Secures unused fibre optic ports on switches and patch panels |
| HDMI | 1 colour | Protects display connections on conferencing equipment and digital signage |
| DisplayPort | 1 colour | Protects monitor outputs at workstations and in meeting rooms |

We are happy to work with you to determine which ports in your company should be secured – based on your actual IT and security requirements.
How many workstations, network sockets and ports are affected? Is a single colour scheme enough, or should different teams receive different keys? And how does port security fit into your existing compliance documentation? Only once these questions have been answered can the right combination of port types and colour systems be clearly defined. This way we ensure that the solution truly fits your security architecture – with a free test sample on request.
A short conversation, a concrete recommendation – with a free test sample for your port type on request.

USB-A and USB-C blockers secure PCs, notebooks and docking stations against data leakage via USB stick. RJ45 blockers seal unused network sockets – separated by team or department using the colour system.
Meeting rooms
Visitors and devices change here every day. HDMI® and DisplayPort blockers protect displays and conferencing equipment, while RJ45 blockers prevent third-party hardware from reaching the corporate network.
Public sector & public spaces
In citizens' service centres, waiting areas and reception areas, ports are often freely accessible. Physical locks support requirements from GDPR, NIS2 and ISO 27001 – visibly and without software.
Education
Computer labs, library PCs and classrooms are shared by many users. Port blockers prevent malware from being introduced via USB and stop the school network from being tapped via free sockets.
Digital Signage
Displays and media players in lobbies, corridors and shop windows are often left unattended. HDMI®, DisplayPort and USB blockers prevent content from being tampered with or third-party playback devices from being connected.
Point of sale & reception
POS systems, kiosk terminals and reception computers are within customers' reach. Locked USB ports protect against BadUSB attacks and tampered devices right at the counter.
