The Lindy DisplayPort 1.4 left angled adapter is a compact solution for connecting DisplayPort cables to DisplayPort monitors with recessed ports, or within limited space where cable connector sizing may affect installation. This adapter allows for a 90° connection from the left of the display.
With DisplayPort 1.4 support, this adapter can be used with DisplayPort 1.4 cables and monitors, while also being backwards compatible with previous DisplayPort specifications. 8K@60Hz resolutions can be easily passed through the adapter, ensuring this adapter is an ideal tool within wall mounted digital signage installations, gaming setups or educational spaces, with no lasting impact on a connected cables strain relief or lifespan.
The HDMI® interface was not designed to power external devices, but rather to supply sufficient power to complete the initial handshake, HDCP authentication and EDID Exchange. Whilst many source devices provide more than the specified 55mA to perform these functions, they do not always provide enough additional power to allow the operation of external HDMI® accessories such as Active HDMI® Cables, HDMI® to VGA Converters and HDMI® Fibre Optic Cables.
Connecting the HDMI® Power Injector Cable overcomes this issue and allows you to provide additional power to such devices, by positioning the cable inline between the HDMI® source and the HDMI® Accessory and then connecting the USB cable to a USB port on your HDMI® Source (PC with low power graphics card or Blu ray player etc) or to an external USB power supply (not included).
The Lindy HDMI® Coupler is a compact solution for connecting two short HDMI® cables together for extended distances.
Please note: When using this coupler, we recommend the total combined cable distance does not exceed 10m (e.g. 5 in, 5 out).

In installations where the cable connection is frequently disconnected and reconnected (e.g. in the area of hardware testing), the adapter can be used to extend the lifespan of the actual ports on the devices.
Please note: it is common for desktop PCs to have HDMI® ports function in the opposite configuration. If this is applicable, please check whether this or the opposing adapter (41086) is required.
