The high frequencies used in network technology cause a high current load in the outer layers of the conductors due to the skin effect , while the conductor cores are only subjected to very low electrical loads. This allows the use of copper clad aluminium (CCA) conductor material, making this cable more cost-effective than pure copper cables.

Lindy_s range of Armoured Fibre Optic Hybrid cables are a professional solution for extending HDMI® signals over longer distances. The construction of this extreme rugged HDMI® hybrid cable has under the cable sheath aramid fibres and an additional armoured jacket, maintaning a good flexibility and high EMI & RFI resistance. These hybrid cables are ideal for use in critical AV setups and professional installation such as live events and trade shows.
The maximum pulling force supported is up to 100N with a crush resistance up to 2000N, whilst with 6mm of diameter, the cable is very thin although the aramid fibres and the steel jacket under the TPE sheath.
The connectors are also extremely rugged with gold plated pins, they are enclosed from special protective sleeves, secured against transport damage.
The internal technology provides uncompressed amplification of the HDMI® signal, allowing long distance extension of HDMI® 8K content that is simply not possible with passive cables.
With 48Gbps bandwidth, these cables support HDMI® 2.1 resolutions up to 3840x2160@120Hz, and 7680x4320 / 10240x4320@60Hz. Content can be viewed with incredible detail and clarity at higher refresh rates for optimum viewing of movies, graphics or imagery.
As well as static HDR, HDMI® hybrid cables also brings further support for dynamic HDR formats such as Dolby Vision and HDR10+. This provides every moment of content, whether scene by scene or even frame by frame, with a much wider colour gamut based on the BT.2020 colour space, higher peak brightness and deep blacks for optimum contrasts as well as greater depth of colour.
Please Note: eARC/ARC and CEC functions are not supported for lenghts over 30m.
Lindy_s Active HDMI® 18G cables combine sleek, modern design with superior performance to provide high quality, reliable HDMI® transmission over long distances. Lindy's range of active cables come with an in-built chipset that amplifys the users signal to create a much longer HDMI® transmission that isnt possible with standard passive HDMI® cables, while also avoiding the need for additional expensive extenders or repeaters. With the active chipset built discreetly into the stylishly designed headshell, these cables can easily be installed through conduit or tighter spaces. These premium cables also support the full 18G HDMI® bandwidth to display 4096x2160@60Hz resolutions with additional support for the REC.2020 colour space that covers the wider colour gamut required for high-dynamic range content, for enhanced contrast and more lifelike colour.
Complying to the HDMI® 2.0 cable specification, these cables are ideal for use with a variety of source devices including set-top boxes, HDMI® media players or PCs when connected to modern displays or projectors. Perfect for use in eye-catching retail displays, informational digital signage or immersive video playback in sports bars, music venues or high end home cinemas.
With support for a range of multi-channel audio formats, including Dolby True HD and DTS-HD Master Audio, these cables also ensure an impressive three-dimensional surround sound performance when connected to an amplifier's speaker system. CEC functionality also allows many of the source device's settings to be controlled via the display or projectors controls to provide a simple and effective control solution, while avoiding the necessity for several remote controls.
Lindy's active cables should be connected in accordance with the instructions for the optimum experience. The connector marked _display_ must be connected to the monitor or screen. Failure to connect the cable in the correct manner will result in no signal. Some projectors have recessed HDMI® sockets, please ensure they can accommodate the connector used on this cable.
Active HDMI® cables cannot be connected together or _daisy chained_.
Active DisplayPort cables use integrated electronics in the form of 'chipsets' to amplify signals enabling them to be sent further than their standard distance.
Lindy_s Active DisplayPort 1.4 cables provide premium performance DisplayPort transmission over distances not possible with standard passive DP cables.
An active chipset, situated in the connector housing, allows active cables to amplify DisplayPort signals effectively creating much longer DP transmissions. This creates long distance connections without the need for additional repeaters or extenders.
Combined with a stylishly designed head-shell and high quality, flexible cable, these are an ideal solution for hassle-free installations through conduits or behind walls, to provide a more discreet and modern AV setup.
Featuring DisplayPort 1.4 technology, these cables are ideal for use with a variety of DisplayPort source devices including PCs when connected to DP commercial displays and monitors. With support for resolutions up to 4k@144Hz or 8K@60Hz, video content can be seen with stunning clarity, perfect for creating exciting retail displays, informational digital signage in transport buildings or immersive gaming setups in the home or in larger eSports installations. Lindy offers cables and adapters for virtually all common signal and transmission standards: HDMI, DisplayPort, DVI, VGA, USB Type-C, Thunderbolt 3/4/5, network categories Cat.5e to Cat.8.1, fiber optic (FO), as well as power cables for DC and IEC devices. The products are used in data centers, AV installations, offices, and industrial environments.
Which cable type is required for 4K transmission?
For 4K@60Hz with full color depth, an HDMI cable from HDMI 2.0 onwards or a DisplayPort 1.2 cable is recommended. For 8K or higher data rates, DisplayPort 1.4/2.1 or HDMI 2.1 is required.
When is an active cable necessary?
Active cables are used over longer distances where passive cables can no longer transmit the signal stably for HDMI typically from 1015 meters, for USB 3.x already from around 3 meters.
Which network category is suitable for 10G Ethernet?
Cat.6A reliably supports 10G Ethernet up to 100 meters. Cat.7 and Cat.8.1 offer additional shielding and higher reserves for environments with electromagnetic interference.
