For routing patch cables to patch panels in the area in front of the 19" frame
Simply install this adapter frame and converter into the 3.5" slot on your desktop or you can use it like a 3.5" drive in a 3.5" converter!
2.5" drives only need a fraction of the energy needed by a 3.5" drive and a voltage supply of just 5V instead of 5V and 12V. They generate considerably less heat and are considerably quieter when running.
As this adapter frame has the same dimensions and SATA connections as a 3.5" SATA hard drive, it can be used just like a 3,5" SATA drive - this solution uses considerably less energy and produces less heat and noise.
Many PC enclosures allow you to attach 3.5" format hard drives and converters on the underside. This is also possible for this converter.
Please note:
With converter housings where only side screw attachment is possible, this converter does not have the screw attachment at the same positions as a 3.5" drive: the 3 threaded holes on the side have a clearance from the bottom of 6mm instead of 5mm, only the hole at the extreme rear has the same clearance from the front edge (115 mm); the two front holes however have a clearance of 25 and 85 mm from the front edge.
If 1mm of space is available above the slot, this allows the converter to usually only be attached with the threaded holes at the rear.
Where this is not possible, you can use the LINDY converter No.20969 (max. drive height of 7.5 mm) with standard side attachment instead
Cat.6 U/UTP LSZH network cable with support for bandwidth up to 250MHz and features a snagless design with gold plated contacts for ethernet standards up to 1GBase-T.
Cat.6 cable for operating frequencies up to 250MHz. The unshielded version (U/UTP) can be used for Gigabit Ethernet thanks to the special design of the electrophysical parameters (NExT, FExT, etc.) despite the lack of shielding. These cables are manufactured and tested according to the ISO/IEC 11801 specification. The cables are packaged individually in a polybag.
The gold-plated contacts ensure reliable, corrosion-free connections over extensive periods of time. A robust snagless strain relief design prevents damage to the connector latch during installation and removal.
The halogen-free sheath material of the LSZH cable makes the product suitable for use in public spaces with its low smoke emission and elimination of toxic halogen emissions.
Available lengths: 0.3m, 0.5m, 1m, 2m, 3m, 5m, 7.5m, 10m, 15m, 20m, 30m.
Available colours: Grey, Blue, Red, Black.
With the Lindy RJ-45 Port Blocker Key, the user can quickly block open network ports and easily prevent users from connecting cables, devices or inserting foreign objects without permission.
This helps protect against unauthorised access to a network or system, as well as preventing unintentional or malicious damage to ports. It can also act as a visual cue, showing inactive or disconnected ports, ideal for use in schools, office or other public sector environments.
The semi-permanent RJ-45 Port Blocker is made up of a moulded plastic blocking cap that plugs securely into the RJ-45 port with a special insertion key. The blocker latches into the RJ-45 just as a network cable would and remains in place until removed using the insertion key.
To use, simply attach a blocker to the key and plug it into the port. Hold the blocker in place and pull away the Key. To remove simply insert the Key back into the blocker until it ‘clicks’ and pull it away.
Security Note: The Port Blockers will only act as a basic physical & visual deterrent to tampering. It will not prevent a determined attacker, intent on gaining physical access to a RJ-45 port.
Please note: this key is only compatible with the corresponding colour of port blocker
