This adapter cable accepts video signals via DVI-D input and converts it into a Mini DisplayPort signal. This allows DVI-D equipped workstations or PC’s to be connected to modern Mini DisplayPort monitors, with support for DVI-D single link resolutions up to 1200p 60Hz (1920x1200).
Due to its lower power design the converter can typically be powered directly from a PC’s DVI-D port. In cases where the power output of the DVI-D port is insufficient (lower than 450mW) the integrated USB cable can be connected to a USB port or USB power supply to power the converter.

Please note: Does not support HDCP over DVI & HDCP-encrypted HDMI signals
This KVM Extender transmits a DVI-D signal over distances up to 5000m in HD resolutions up to 1920 x 1200 (WUXGA) with no loss of image quality.
Its high speed optical transmitter uses multiple active wavelengths for uncompressed data transfer between transmitter and receiver units.
Utilising 1:1 duplex single-mode fibre optic cable allows you to make a substantial cost saving compared to other solutions that require multi-core fibre cables.
It also means transmission problems caused by using unequal simplex cables can be easily avoided from the outset, reducing installation time and costs.
Support for infra-red control signals also means you gain the additional bonus of being able to control additional devices from a single hardware installation.

Please Note: There is no scaling functionality in this converter; it will simply output the resolution that is received from your digital video source. Your DVI-D source and HDMI display must both support the transmitted resolution.
