* Note on HDCP protection: HDMI HDTV signals from Blu-ray and DVD players are normally HDCP copyright protected at least when playing copyright-protected video material (DVDs bought in-store, etc.). The HDMI standard prohibits analogue output/conversion of HDCP-protected HDTV material in the form of analogue HDTV signals; such signals are therefore NOT output via the analogue sockets and are not scaled down. This applies to playing content from DVD-/Blu-ray players and DVDs & Blu-rays discs from a PC, notebook, Ultrabook, smartphone etc.

The Lindy Cascadeable HDMI Cat.6 Extender allows you to transmit an HDMI video signal to a series of remote displays/projectors up to a distance of up to 150m between each Transmitter and Receiver/Repeater using high quality Cat.5e/6 solid core cables. The Cascadeable HDMI Cat.6 Extender is sold in the form of individual Transmitter and Receiver units, providing the ultimate in flexibility at the point of installation and the ability to easily expand the installation at a later date.
The Transmitter unit connects to a HDMI source using a standard HDMI cable and then to the first Receiver/Repeater using a Cat.6 UTP cable of up to 150m. These emulators are designed for systems that require EDID/DDC signals to be continuously provided without interruption. Some computer systems, KVM switches and digital video signage systems may interrupt the data, or may not be able to pass this information directly back to the video card's display port. This simple solution will provide preset/default EDID/DDC information, or when used with the LINDY EDID/DDC Emulator can provide cloned EDID/DDC information to your graphics card.
