The Lindy Cat.5 USB Extender is compatible with all major USB enabled operating systems and allows the distance between a USB device and a host computer to be extended to 50m length using standard Cat.5e/6 network cable (not included). With its advanced chipset design it's especially suitable for use with USB 1.1 multimedia devices such as whiteboards and webcams.
For most standard devices, including printers, scanners etc., it can extend the connection distance by up to 50m. For certain low speed devices, such as keyboards and mice, this can be increased to up to 100m. The Extender is powered by the USB Bus.
The Lindy Cat.5 USB Extender can be used to extend the distance between a USB device and a host computer by up to 50m. It consists of a local unit, which can be connected to the computer or laptop and a remote unit which connects to USB devices including webcams and storage devices, perfect for long distance access to files or in video conferencing scenarios. Standard, low cost Cat.5e/6 cable (not included) is used to connect the two units together.
The Lindy Fibre Optic USB 3.0 Cable supports far longer distances than standard copper cables whilst retaining SuperSpeed transfer rates of up to 5Gbps. A lighter and more flexible construction makes this cable simple to install with cable trays and through conduits, whilst low RFI/EMI ensures that the cable can be installed in the most sensitive of environments.
For added convenience the Fibre Optic USB 3.0 cable is supplied with a USB Micro-B cable and a power supply, which can be connected should additional power be required.
Lindy Fibre Optic Hybrid DisplayPort cables are an all-in-one advanced solution which provide transmission distances that far exceed the maximum supported by standard copper only cables.
Perfect for professional and home cinema environments these cables feature active fibre optic technology integrated into the DisplayPort connectors to allow signal transmission from a source to display over the longest possible distances.
Support for resolutions up to Ultra HD 4096x2160@60Hz 4:4:4 10bit makes these cables suitable for use with advanced DisplayPort enabled sources and displays.
The slimline copper and fibre hybrid construction allows easy installation into recessed, tight spaces. Advanced EMI & RF resistance makes these cables ideal for use in electronically sensitive environments.
Please Note: The cable can only be used in one direction. The connector labelled “source” must be connected to a source device. The connector labelled “display” must be connected to a projector or display.
Lindys range of Fibre Optic Hybrid DisplayPort cables are a high quality, advanced solution for creating longer length DisplayPort connections, not possible with standard copper only cables while also offering a lower cost alternative to fibre optic extender systems that can be directly connected to the source and display, with no requirement for additional cabling.
With a premium fibre and copper hybrid construction, signals are transmitted with no degradation, while also providing resistance to electro-magnetic and radio-frequency interference, perfect for integration into high noise environments including industrial or retail settings.
Support for resolutions up to 4K@60Hz and HDR ensures video can be viewed with flawless quality, enhanced brightness and a wider colour gamut, ideal for eye-catching digital signage in retail or engaging educational content in universities.
Our Fibre Optic Hybrid HDMI cables are the perfect solution for easily extending HDMI digital signals over incredible distances. Perfect for professional and home cinema situations, they feature fibre-optic technology which allows transmission distances that far exceed the maximum supported by standard copper only cables.
These cables feature H-PCF (Hard-Polymer Clad Fibre) glass fibres for sending digital display signals. The transmitter and receiver modules are each equipped with standard HDMI Male connectors for connecting to the source and the display. The modules are connected together by a fibre and copper solution.
HDMI - The Standard for Connecting HDTV
All Digital
No compression, no conversion, pure digital direct from the source as it was meant to be seen and heard.
The HDMI High Speed specification offers benefits over the previous version:
3D
The HDMI specification defines common 3D formats and resolutions for HDMI-enabled devices. The specification will standardise the input/output portion of the home 3D system and will specify up to dual-stream 1080p resolution.
4K
The HDMI specification will enable HDMI devices to support high-definition (HD) resolutions four times beyond the resolution of 1080p. Support for 4K will allow the HDMI interface to transmit content at the same resolution as many digital theatres.
Formats supported include:
3840 x 2160 @ 24Hz/25Hz/30Hz/60Hz
4096 x 2160 @ 24Hz
Content Type
Content Type enables, automated picture setting selection with no user intervention. The Content Type feature enables a display to auto-detect the correct viewing mode to match the Content Type it is receiving from a source device, and to switch modes when a new connected source is selected. Content Type supports content profiles for gaming, movie, photograph and text viewing modes.
Audio Formats
HDMI supports multi-channel digital audio on a single cable. It transmits all ATSC HDTV standards and supports 8-channel, 192kHz, uncompressed digital audio and all currently available compressed formats (such as Dolby Digital & DTS), HDMI 1.3 adds additional support for new lossless digital audio formats Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master AudioTM with bandwidth to spare to accommodate future enhancements and requirements.
Amongst others the following formats are supported:
SA-CD
DTS-HD Master AudioTM
DVD-Audio
Dolby TrueHD
Dolby Digital / Plus
MPEG1 Layer I / II
MPEG2
MP3
AAC LC
DST / DSD (as used in SA-CD)
DTS
ATRAC
WMA Pro
MLP (as used in DVD-Audio)
Expanded Support for Colour Spaces
HDMI technology supports colour spaces designed specifically for digital still cameras. By supporting sYCC601, Adobe RGB and AdobeYCC601, HDMI-enabled display devices will be capable of reproducing more accurate life-like colours when connected to a digital still camera.
Please Note:
These cables are unidirectional and can only be used in one direction.
One end has TX and the other has RX. The TX must be in the source and the RX must be in the display or receiver.
Failure to follow the installation guide could result in the cable not working correctly.
