The 100m Cat.6 HDMI, IR & RS-232 HDBaseT Extender with PoH & Ethernet Hub is an end to end, premium solution for extending HDMI signals over long distances via Cat.6 network cable, while also providing an integrated 3 port Ethernet hub in either unit.
The following distance and resolution combinations are possible when using high quality Cat.6 U/UTP or F/UTP cable:
100m: 1920x1080@60Hz 4:4:4 8bit
70m: 3840x2160@60Hz 4:2:0 8bit / 30Hz 4:4:4 8bit
Supporting resolutions up to 4K Ultra HD, video can be viewed in stunning clarity, providing a reliable solution for creating eye-catching digital signage in retail, immersive displays at events or engaging setups in larger conference rooms or lectures halls. A HDMI loop out port on the transmitter also allows for connection of a local display for monitoring, great for control room and CCTV installations.
PoH (Power over HDBaseT) functionality provides additional flexibility. This allows power to be supplied alongside data through Cat.6 network cable in a point to point connection between the transmitter and receiver, meaning only a single power supply is required at the transmitter unit. Ideal when power outlets are limited at the receiver end of the installation.
Featuring bi-directional IR ports at both sides of the setup, the source equipment can be easily controlled from the display side, and the display can also be controlled from the HDMI source side. Combined with CEC control, which allows commands from one main remote, this extension system allows for complete and simple control for the user. RS-232 pass-through also allows for integration into larger control systems.
The integrated 3 port Ethernet hub at both the transmitter and receiver units, can be connected easily to standard network devices including routers, network switches or larger hubs for simple access over LAN.
In addition, the power supply is connected via a screw type DC jack, providing a more secure and reliable connection, perfect for professional installations where accidental disconnections could create a major issue.
HDBaset is a globally recognised standard for high quality distribution of AV content and other technologies, including power and control, over longer distances via low cost Cat.6 or above cable.
HDBaseT™ and the HDBaseT Alliance logo are trademarks of the HDBaseT Alliance.
Please Note: The local HDMI output of the Transmitter may not be used at the same time as the HDBaseT connection

HDMI - The Standard for Connecting HDTV
All Digital
No compression, no conversion, pure digital direct from the source as it was meant to be seen and heard.
The HDMI High Speed specification offers benefits over the previous version:
3D
The HDMI specification defines common 3D formats and resolutions for HDMI-enabled devices. The specification will standardise the input/output portion of the home 3D system and will specify up to dual-stream 1080p resolution.
4K
The HDMI specification will enable HDMI devices to support high-definition (HD) resolutions four times beyond the resolution of 1080p. Support for 4K will allow the HDMI interface to transmit content at the same resolution as many digital theatres.
Formats supported include:
3840 x 2160 @ 24Hz/25Hz/30Hz/60Hz
4096 x 2160 @ 24Hz
Content Type
Content Type enables, automated picture setting selection with no user intervention. The Content Type feature enables a display to auto-detect the correct viewing mode to match the Content Type it is receiving from a source device, and to switch modes when a new connected source is selected. Content Type supports content profiles for gaming, movie, photograph and text viewing modes.
Audio Formats
HDMI supports multi-channel digital audio on a single cable. It transmits all ATSC HDTV standards and supports 8-channel, 192kHz, uncompressed digital audio and all currently available compressed formats (such as Dolby Digital & DTS), HDMI 1.3 adds additional support for new lossless digital audio formats Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master AudioTM with bandwidth to spare to accommodate future enhancements and requirements.
Amongst others the following formats are supported:
SA-CD
DTS-HD Master AudioTM
DVD-Audio
Dolby TrueHD
Dolby Digital / Plus
MPEG1 Layer I / II
MPEG2
MP3
AAC LC
DST / DSD (as used in SA-CD)
DTS
ATRAC
WMA Pro
MLP (as used in DVD-Audio)
Expanded Support for Colour Spaces
HDMI technology supports colour spaces designed specifically for digital still cameras. By supporting sYCC601, Adobe RGB and AdobeYCC601, HDMI-enabled display devices will be capable of reproducing more accurate life-like colours when connected to a digital still camera.
Please Note:
These cables are unidirectional and can only be used in one direction.
One end has TX and the other has RX. The TX must be in the source and the RX must be in the display or receiver.
Failure to follow the installation guide could result in the cable not working correctly.
