This HDMI over Gigabit IP Video Wall Extender allows you to distribute an HDMI signal up to 1080p via Ethernet network to multiple displays for applications such as digital signage, public display and large scale presentations. These extenders convert the HDMI signal to IP broadcast signals. Network devices can be used to distribute the signals. These extenders support 1-to-1 (Unicast), 1-to-many (Multicast), many-to-many (Multicast) and video wall (1x2 up to 8x8) configurations, with Transmitters and Receivers available separately to give you the maximum flexibility in your installation.
In Unicast mode a Transmitter is used with a single Receiver, this can be via a direct connection or via a Gigabit network. When using a Gigabit network it is possible to simultaneously use up to 4 pairs of Transmitter and Receiver, by setting different pairing codes on each Transmitter and Receiver pairing.
In Multicast mode a Transmitter can be connected to up to 1000 Receivers via a Gigabit network with hubs supporting IGMP & Snooping functions, or via a dedicated Gigabit network. In addition, up to 4 Transmitters may be used simultaneously on a single network, each connected to up to 1000 Receivers, again by setting different pairing codes on each Transmitter and Receiver group pairing.
In video Wall mode a Transmitter is connected to multiple Receivers via a Gigabit network with hubs supporting IGMP & Snooping functions and configured by Web GUI into a video wall. It is possible to create a video wall from 2x1, 2x2 up to 8x8, all of which can be duplicated multiple times across a network.

*Please Note: The quoted lengths and resolutions are possible with a direct connection between Transmitter and Receiver using good quality Cat.6 solid core cable. Using a different cable type, or introducing wall plates, couplers or patch panels will result in a reduction of possible distances.
Cat.6 extenders allow for cost effective, reliable extension of audio or video signals over longer distances that are not possible with passive cable or active repeater solutions.
The Lindy 50m HDMI & IR Cat.6 Extender is a simple to use plug and play solution which lets the user extend HDMI signals up to 50m using a single low cost Cat.6 U/UTP cable (not included). For added convenience IR signals (20-60 kHz) can also be extended using the supplied IR Receiver and Emitter cables.
Supporting resolutions up to Full HD 1920x1080p@60Hz, video content can be seen with incredible clarity at distances up to 50m, perfect for use in a variety of AV and digital signage applications in a range of settings such as in residential setups, education, business, retail and healthcare.
The Extender features an HDMI loop-through output on the Transmitter with simultaneous viewing so that a local display can be connected for monitoring or to create an additional viewing zone. To ensure the maximum compatibility when two displays are connected, the EDID data, which determines the supported video and audio formats, can be used from either a local monitor connected to the Transmitter or the remote monitor connected to the Receiver.
Power over Cable (PoC) functionality enables the Extender to operate from a single power supply connected to the Transmitter, allowing the Receiver to be located where there is limited access to mains power sockets making it ideal for retro fit installations.
In addition to PoC functionality the extender's slim design allow it to be easier to install in limited spaces behind flat screen displays and follow the trend of more discreet ‘wirefree’ installations.
Please Note: The quoted lengths and resolutions are possible with a direct connection between Transmitter and Receiver using good quality Cat.6 solid core cable. Using a different cable type, or introducing wall plates, couplers or patch panels will result in a reduction of possible distances.
