PVC and Halogen free design: These cables are made using Thermoplastic Elastomers (TPE) for the jacket and nylon insulation for the inner conductors. They are completely PVC and halogen free in line with EU directives which aim to limit the use of PVC and the toxic additives contained in typical cable designs.
The LINDY CAT5e RJ45 U/UTP patch leads are manufactured and tested to conform with ISO 11801 specification. The unique snagless strain relief design prevents damage to the connector latch during installation and removal. The Lindy Cat.5 USB Extender is compatible with all major USB enabled operating systems and allows the distance between a USB device and a host computer to be extended to 50m length using standard Cat.5e/6 network cable (not included). With its advanced chipset design it's especially suitable for use with USB 1.1 multimedia devices such as whiteboards and webcams.
For most standard devices, including printers, scanners etc., it can extend the connection distance by up to 50m. For certain low speed devices, such as keyboards and mice, this can be increased to up to 100m. The Extender is powered by the USB Bus.
The Lindy Cat.5 USB Extender can be used to extend the distance between a USB device and a host computer by up to 50m. It consists of a local unit, which can be connected to the computer or laptop and a remote unit which connects to USB devices including webcams and storage devices, perfect for long distance access to files or in video conferencing scenarios.
