The extender system comprises two modules, a transmitter and a receiver, which are connected to both the HDMI source and display using standard HDMI cables of up to 3m. This Lindy 300m USB Cat.6 Extender extends the distance between a standard Human Interface Device and the computer up to distances of 300m. It is not suitable for keyboards or mice that require their own driver, however can be used with both standard and wireless USB mice and keyboards.
This Extender is a two part hardware solution comprising a transmitter that connects directly to your computer and a receiver that connects to the USB HID device. Cat.5e or higher network patch cable (not included) is required to connect the two units together. A power supply for the receiver unit ensures uninterrupted electricity supplies.
