Host computer and display communicate with each other to determine whether the display is in 4 lane or 2 lane DP mode. If it is in 2 lane DP mode, USB 3.0 data rates up to 5Gbps are supported. In 4 lane DP mode, USB 2.0 data rates up to 480Mbps are supported.
A more flexible construction makes this cable simple to install, with increased resistance to RFI/EMI ensures that the cable can be installed in sensitive environments. The Lindy 160W 6 Port USB Charging Station allows charging up to 3 USB devices via Type A and 3 via Type C like tablets, smartphones or a laptop or Macbook. Each USB Type A port can provide up to 5V 2.4A, two USB Type C ports can provide up to 30W each and one even up to 140W to satisfy the most power hungry devices. If all 6 ports are occupied and/or when total power draw is higher than 160W, load balancing will occur.
With its smart charging function and support of many different protocols like QC 3.0 and 4.0 (only Type C ports), Samsung AFC and Apple 5V 2.4A Charging Protocol and BC 1.2 (only Type A ports), this USB Charging Station can recognise the connected device to automatically adjust the charging current for a fast and safe charge.
USB Power Delivery Revision 3.1 enables higher power to applications up to 140W, including larger notebooks, gaming PCs, Macbooks, workstations or Docking Stations. Another 2 Type C PD 3.0 ports with up to 30W each allow fast, flexible and safe charge of smartphones and tablets.

The Lindy 2 Port USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type C Bi-Directional Switch, allows up to 2 users to share a USB type C peripheral without the need to repeatedly swap cables or set up complicated network sharing software. The active computer port can be selected by push button. Alternatively the switch provides access to two devices from a single laptop, tablet or mobile phone, the active device is then selected by the push button. The switch is ideal for sharing a USB device between two computers in a small office environment or for accessing two devices from one computer. The support of DisplayPort Alternate mode via the USB Type C ports also allows the connection of displays for video transfer at resolutions up to 4K 60Hz.
The 2 Port USB 3.2 Type C Switch supports USB Power Delivery PD 3.0, which allows charging via a connected USB Type C power supply.
The switch is supplied with a USB Type A to DC cable for power which can be attached to a second USB port or to a power supply.
Please note: the length of connected USB Type C cables must not exceed 1m.

The Lindy 200m Fibre Optic USB 3.0 Extender supports far longer distances than standard copper cables, using standard off the shelf LC duplex fibre, whilst retaining SuperSpeed transfer rates of up to 5Gbps. The Extender is a two part hardware solution comprising of a transmitter that connects directly to your computer and receiver that connects to the USB peripheral. Since the Extender uses fibre optic cable this rules out the possibility of any electrical interference on the extended signal and makes it the perfect solution for sensitive environments.
Ideal for remote desktop links, industrial control, surveillance and external storage applications the Extender gives long distance access to many devices.

The Lindy USB 2.0 Active Extension Cable uses built-in active electronics to extend the cable length of a USB 2.0 device by an additional 20m whilst continuing to support data transfer rates of up to 480Mbps. With its USB A male and USB A female connector it allows multiple Type A devices such as storage devices, webcams and other Type A devices to be connected at longer distances to PCs, laptops and tablets, while also ensuring flexible positioning. Up to 2 extension cables can be chained together to achieve a distance of 40m.
The Lindy USB 2.0 Active Extension Cable is compatible with all USB Type A equipped computers. With plug and play functionality, this extension cable can be installed quickly and with minimum fuss, ideal for both professional and first time users.
It is recommended that this extender is used with low power or self powered USB peripherals and not high power consuming devices.

The Lindy USB Active Extension Cable Pro is a high performance active cable that allows access to USB 3.0 SuperSpeed peripherals over long distances. With support for data transfer speeds of up to 5Gbps this extension cable is perfect for transferring large data volumes quickly and reliably.
This 20m extension cable can be used standalone or as part of the Lindy USB 3.0 Active Extension System Pro. This system is a modular solution that can combine multiple USB Active Extension Pro cables and a USB 3.0 Active Extension Pro hub to distribute USB signals to up to 4 devices at up to about 40m (depending on the cable configurations used).
Please note that only the USB 3.0 Active Extension Pro 8m (Nr. 43158) or 15m (Nr. 43229) can be connected directly to your computer. If you are creating an extension using multiple units from the Extension Pro System then the first unit must always be the USB 3.0 Active Extension Pro 8m (Nr. 43158) or 15m (Nr. 43229). Once the first cable has been connected, you can then cascade further cables to achieve a maximum distance of 40m. The final part of the extension can be any of the three parts of the Extension Pro System. If you need to extend multiple devices or if you connect a USB device with high power requirement, then you should use the 10m Hub Pro unit (Nr. 43159) with it_s power supply as the final part of the extension.

When is a USB extender necessary?
Standard USB cables are limited to a few meters depending on the generation. USB extenders extend signal transmission over Cat.6, fiber optic, or Ethernet to significantly greater distances.
What is a USB sharing switch?
A USB sharing switch allows multiple computers to share the same USB peripherals for example a printer or storage device without constantly swapping cables.
What is the difference between USB 3.2 and USB 4?
USB 4 is based on the Thunderbolt 3 specification and supports data rates up to 40 Gbit/s as well as native DisplayPort transmission. USB 3.2 Gen 2 reaches 10 Gbit/s, Gen 2x2 up to 20 Gbit/s.
