The Lindy USB 2.0 Smart Card Reader makes it easy to manage a variety of smart cards from a Windows or Mac computer with a USB Type A interface. It supports relevant industry standards like ISO 7816 or PC/SC 1.0/2.0 and multiple smart card protocols. Possible applications can include e-banking, e-payment, digital signature, authentication security, e-government etc.
The Lindy USB 2.0 Smart Card Reader is powered by the USB Bus and easy to install and use. Simply install the smart card driver from the Lindy website, then connect the reader to the PC and plug in the smart card.
This Lindy USB 2.0 Cat.6 Extender can be used to extend the distance between two USB peripheral devices and the host computer by up to 100m. A standard, low cost Cat.5e/6 network cable (not included) is used to bridge the connection between the transmitter and the receiver unit. For best performance and compatibility, we recommend the use of solid core patched cables.
The Extender features bidirectional Power over Cable (PoC) functionality, which provides additional flexibility. This allows power to be supplied alongside data through Cat.6 network cable in a point-to-point connection between the transmitter and receiver, meaning only a single power supply is required at the transmitter or receiver unit.
With robust metal housing and integrated mounting brackets this Extender is the ideal solution for industrial environments.
Please note: This product contains one USB 2.0 hub, which needs to be considered if the product is deployed in a larger installation in connection with other devices.
This Lindy USB 3.2 Gen 1 Cat.6A Extender can be used to extend the distance between USB peripheral devices and the host computer by up to 100m. Supports multiple USB signals, control, bulk, interrupt and isochronous data transfer.
A standard Cat.6A or above network cable* (not included) is used to bridge the connection between the transmitter and the receiver unit at the maximum supported distance of 100m (328.08ft). It's also possible to reach up to 40m using a Cat.6 cable.
The Extender features Power over Cable, which requires a single power supply only to be connected either to the transmitter unit or to the receiver unit. The 4 Type A ports on the Receiver can provide 5V power as well to the connected devices; 2 ports support up to 1.5A each and 2 ports support up to 1A each.
Status LEDs help the user to check power, link between Transmitter and Receiver and if data transfer is running while additional RS232 and FSYNC GPIO pass-though ports allow sending bi-directional commands also for industrial cameras.
With robust metal housing and mounting brackets, this Extender is the ideal solution for professional applications and industrial environments.
In addition, the power supply is connected via a screw type DC jack, providing a more secure and reliable connection, perfect for professional installations where accidental disconnections could create a major issue.
*: To cover long distances close to the 100m limit, we recommend using HDBaseT-certified Cat.6A (or above) cables.
This extender is certified by HDBaseT Alliance.
HDBaseT is a globally recognised standard for high quality distribution of AV content and other technologies, including power and control, over longer distances via low cost Cat.6 or above cable.
HDBaseT Trade Mark and the HDBaseT Alliance logo are trademarks of the HDBaseT Alliance. Using a different cable type, introducing wall plates, couplers or patch panels will result in a reduction of possible distances.
