The Lindy KVM Over IP Extender system allows users to control a source device such as a PC or PVR through a standard IP network. This receiver unit must be connected to a transmitter unit (No. 38264 _ not included) to create a standard point to point control system, with a maximum distance of 150m (492.12ft). It's also possible to set up a distributed control system (One to Many configuration) which allows a single device connected to a Transmitter Unit (No. 38264 - not included) to be controlled by several consoles each connected to this receiver via a dedicated Ethernet switch or VPN.
This extender system includes a convenient IR (25 to 56kHz) repeating system to allow for the dedicated use of a remote control from the console side. This is a typical solution for security system management (PVR management or control rooms), or remote server administration (KVM switch remote control) as well as AV signals over IP extension for distributed monitoring of industrial facilities.

This user station sends KVM- and audio signals via Cat 5 RJ45 cables. It is used either on a Cat.5 KVM switch MC5/-IP as a user station or as an independent KVM extender with a matching Cat.5 KVM computer module.
A KVM switch is integrated in the user station to alternately access two Cat. 5 outputs. For example, these two outputs can be used to access a KVM switch MC5 up to 300m away, on the other port a local or remote terminal can be accessed (also connected via a Cat. 5 cable and Cat 5 module) or to an additional KVM switch MC5.
This user station sends KVM- and audio signals via Cat 5 RJ45 cables. It is used either at the Cat.5 KVM switch MC5/-IP as a user station or as a stand-alone KVM extender with matching Cat.5 KVM module. The KVM switches MC5 and MC5-IP allow you to spatially separate admin workstations via Cat.5 cables. This Cat.5 KVM module is already integrated in the KVM switch.
